El tataupá común o tinamú tapaupá^[3] (Crypturellus tataupa) ye una especie d'ave de la familia Tinamidae. Habita nel monte secu y nes rexones tropical y subtropical del sudeste de Suramérica.^[4]

Etimoloxía

Crypturellus ta formáu por trés pallabres llatines o griegues. Kruptos significa "cubiertu" o "escondíu", oura "cola" y ellus "diminutivu". Poro, Crypturellus quier dicir "pequeña cola escondida".^[5]

Subespecies

El tataupá común tien cuatro subespecies:

• C. tataupa inops, que puede atopase nel noroeste de Perú, nel valle del ríu Marañón.^[4] Tamién esisten exemplares nel sur d'Ecuador.^[1]
• C. tataupa peruvianus, que vive nel oeste de Perú, nel valle del Chanchamayo.^[4]
• C. tataupa lepidotus, qu'habita'l norte de Brasil: Badea, Ceará, Piauí, Pernambuco y Maranhão.^[4]

Descripción

El tataupá común mide aproximao veinticinco centímetro de llargu. El so parte cimeru ye de color marrón escuru, con una corona del mesmu color y un pescuezu gris maciu. Los llaos de la so cabeza y el pechu presenten un tonu abuxáu más escuru, vetáu de mariellu amarronao. El so picu y pates son de color coloráu purpúreo.

Comportamientu

Al igual qu'otros timénidos, el tataupá común come fruta cayida al suelu o parrotales baxos. Tamién comen pequeñes cantidaes d'invertebraos, pétalos de flores, fueyes cayíes, granes y raigaños. El machu guara los güevos, que tienen de provenir de cuatro femes distintos, y criar hasta que tán llistos pa valise por sigo mesmos, daqué que tarda ente dos y tres selmanes. El nial allúgase sobre la tierra metanes parrotales trupos o ente raigaños crecíos.^[6]

Hábitat y localización

Esta ave prefier el monte secu a mil cuatrocientos metros d'altor sobre'l nivel del mar. Tamién puede atopá-ylo en montes más baxos o parcialmente valtaos.^[7] Ye mesma del nordés de Brasil, l'este de Bolivia, el norte d'Arxentina, tou Paraguái y l'oeste de Perú, toos países suramericanos.^[4] Tamién-y lo columbró al sur d'Ecuador.^[1]

Caltenimientu

El IUCN clasificó al tataupá común como un animal que nun ta en peligru d'estinción,^[1] con una localización que toma 4.900.000 kilómetros cuadraos.^[7]

The Tataupa tinamou (Crypturellus tataupa) is a type of tinamou commonly found in dry forest in subtropical and tropical regions in southeastern South America.^[3]

Naming

• Crypturellus is formed from three Latin or Greek words: kruptos meaning covered or hidden, oura meaning tail, and ellus meaning diminutive. Therefore, Crypturellus means small hidden tail.^[4]
• Tataupa is a Guarani term, referring to the bird's ashy-colored plumage.

Taxonomy

All tinamou are from the family Tinamidae, and in the larger scheme are also ratites. Unlike other ratites, tinamous can fly, although in general, they are not strong fliers. All ratites evolved from prehistoric flying birds, and tinamous are the closest living relative of these birds.^[5]

Subspecies

The Tataupa tinamou has four subspecies as follows:

• C. t. tataupa Nominate race, occurs in eastern Bolivia, southern Brazil, northern Argentina, and Paraguay.^[3]
• C. t. inops occurs in northwestern Peru in the Marañón Valley,.^[3] and also extreme southern Ecuador^[1]
• C. t. peruvianus occurs in west central Peru in the Chanchamayo Valley of Junín Region.^[3]
• C. t. lepidotus occurs in northeastern Brazil; Bahia, Ceará, Piauí, Pernambuco, and Maranhão States.^[3]

Description

The tataupa tinamou is approximately 25 cm (9.8 in) in length. Its upper parts are dark brown, with a dark brown crown, a pale grey throat. It has darker grey on the sides of its head, neck, and breast, with a bu belly buff. Its bill and legs are purplish red.

Like other tinamous, the tataupa tinamou eats fruit off the ground or low-lying bushes. They also eat small amounts of invertebrates, flower buds, tender leaves, seeds, and roots. The male incubates the eggs which may come from as many as 4 different females, and then will raise them until they are ready to be on their own, usually 2–3 weeks. The nest is located on the ground in dense brush or between raised root buttresses.^[5]

Range and habitat

The Tataupa tinamou prefers dry forest up to 1,400 m (4,600 ft) altitude. It may also be found in lowland moist forest and degraded former forest habitats.^[6] This species is native to northeastern Brazil, eastern Bolivia, northern Argentina, Paraguay and western Peru in South America.^[3] It also has been sighted in extreme southern Ecuador.^[1]

Conservation

The IUCN classifies this tinamou as Least Concern,^[1] with an occurrence range of 4,900,000 km² (1,900,000 sq mi).^[6]

El tataupá común, inambú tapaupá, yuto tapaupá o tinamú tapaupá^[3]​ (Crypturellus tataupa) es una especie de ave de la familia Tinamidae. Habita en el bosque seco y en las regiones tropicales y subtropicales del sudeste de Sudamérica.^[4]​

Etimología

Crypturellus está formado por tres palabras latinas o griegas. Kruptos significa "cubierto" o "escondido", oura "cola" y ellus "diminutivo". Por lo tanto, Crypturellus quiere decir "pequeña cola escondida".^[5]​

En cuanto a su nombre común, tataupá en guaraní significa "fuego apagado", debido al tono grisáceo, ceniciento, de su plumaje.

Descripción

El tataupá común mide aproximadamente veinticinco centímetros de largo. Su parte superior es de color marrón oscuro, con una corona del mismo color y un cuello gris pálido. Los lados de su cabeza y el pecho presentan un tono grisáceo más oscuro, vetado de amarillo amarronado. Su pico y patas son de color rojo purpúreo.

Comportamiento

Al igual que otros timénidos, el tataupá común come fruta caída al suelo o arbustos bajos. También comen pequeñas cantidades de invertebrados, pétalos de flores, hojas caídas, semillas y raíces. El macho incuba los huevos, los cuales deben provenir de cuatro hembras diferentes, y los crían hasta que están listos para valerse por sí mismos, algo que tarda entre dos y tres semanas. El nido se ubica sobre la tierra en medio de arbustos densos o entre raíces crecidas.^[6]​

Hábitat y localización

Esta ave prefiere el bosque seco a mil cuatrocientos metros de altura sobre el nivel del mar. También puede encontrárselo en bosques más bajos o parcialmente talados.^[7]​ Es propia del noreste de Brasil, el este de Bolivia, el norte de Argentina, todo Paraguay y el oeste de Perú, todos países sudamericanos.^[4]​ También se lo ha avistado al sur de Ecuador.^[1]​

Tataupa tinamu (lat. Crypturellus tataupa) je vrsta ptice iz roda Crypturellus iz reda tinamuovki. Živi u suhim šumama u tropskim i suptropskim regijama jugoistoka Južne Amerike.

Opis

Dug je oko 25 centimetara. Gornji dijelovi su mu tamno-smeđi, s tamno-smeđom kukmom i blijedo-sivim grlom. Glava, vrat i prsa su tamno-sivi. Trbuh je smeđkasto-žute boje. Kljun i noge su grimizno-crvene boje.

Hrani se plodovima s tla ili niskih grmova. Također se hrani i malom količinom manjih beskralježnjaka i biljnih dijelova. Mužjak inkubira jaja koja mogu biti od čak četiri različite ženke. Inkubacija obično traje 2-3 tjedna.

Taksonomija

Tataupa tinamu ima četiri podvrste. To su:

• C. tataupa tataupa nominativna podvsrta, živi u istočnoj Boliviji, južnom Brazilu, sjevernoj Argentini, i Paragvaju.
• C. tataupa inops živi u sjeverozapadnom Peruu u dolini rijeke Marañón, također i u južnom Ekvadoru.
• C. tataupa peruvianus živi na zapadu središnjeg Perua u dolini Chanchamayo.
• C. tataupa lepidotus živi u sjeveroistočnom Brazilu.

De tataupatinamoe (Crypturellus tataupa) is een vogel uit de familie tinamoes (Tinamidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1815 door Temminck.

Beschrijving

De tataupatinamoe wordt ongeveer 25 cm groot. De rug en kruin zijn donkerbruin, en de keel grijs. De buik is vaalgeel, de poten paarsrood.

Voedsel

De tataupatinamoe eet vooral vruchten van de grond en van lage struiken, maar ook bloemen, bladeren, wortels, zaden en ongewervelden.

Voortplanting

Het mannetje paart met ongeveer vier andere vrouwtjes, die de eieren in een nest in dicht struikgewas leggen. Daarna broedt het mannetje de eieren uit en voedt hij de jongen op. De jongen zijn na 2-3 weken volwassen.

Voorkomen

De soort komt voor in het oosten, zuidoosten en midden-zuiden van Zuid-Amerika en telt 4 ondersoorten:^[3]

• C. t. inops: zuidwestelijk Ecuador en noordwestelijk Peru.
• C. t. lepidotus: noordoostelijk Brazilië.
• C. t. peruvianus: centraal Peru.
• C. t. tataupa: van noordelijk en oostelijk Bolivia tot zuidelijk Brazilië, Paraguay en noordelijk Argentinië.

Żywi się nasionami, owocami i drobnymi bezkręgowcami.

Rozmnażanie

Samica składa 2-6 jaj w zagłębieniu w ziemi, z których po 20 dniach wylęgają się młode. Jajami i pisklętami opiekuje się samiec.

Crypturellus tataupa, popularmente conhecido como inhambu-chintã^[1][2][3] ou inambu-chintã, pé-roxo, bico-de-lacre, chitão, chororó, inhambuxintã, inambuxintã, nambuxintã, nhambuxintã, inamuxintã, inhambumirim , nambuzinho e lambu,^[4] é uma ave de ampla distribuição geográfica, habitando o Nordeste, Centro-oeste, Sudeste e Sul do Brasil, bem como o Peru, Bolívia, Paraguai e Argentina. É terrícola. Ocupa um biótopo intermediário entre a floresta alta e a capoeira. É ave cinegética. Seu canto consiste numa sequência de notas rápidas e descendentes.

Seu aspecto e dimensões (aproximadamente 23 centímetros) situam-se entre as do inhambu-chororó (Crypturellus parvirostris) e as do inhambuguaçu (Crypturellus obsoletus). Alimenta-se de sementes e insetos. Apresenta resistência às alterações antrópicas em seu habitat. Adapta-se bem ao cativeiro, reproduzindo-se com relativa facilidade.

Etimologia

O termo Crypturellus é formado a partir de três palavras do latim ou grego: Kruptos significa "coberto" ou "escondido", oura significa "cauda" e Ellus significa "diminuto". Portanto, Crypturellus significa "pequena cauda escondida".^[5]

"Inhambu-chintã" procede do guarani antigo ynambûtimĩtã, que significa "inhambu do bico avermelhado".^[6]

Subespécies

Possui quatro subespécies reconhecidas:^[7]

• Crypturellus tataupa tataupa (Temminck, 1815) - ocorre do leste da Bolívia até o Paraguai, desde o centro-oeste até o sudeste e sul do Brasil e norte da Argentina.
• Crypturellus tataupa inops (Bangs & Noble, 1918) - ocorre no noroeste do Peru, no Vale do Rio Marañón;
• Crypturellus tataupa peruvianus (Cory, 1915) - ocorre na região oeste e central do Peru, no Vale de Chanchamayo na região de Junín;
• Crypturellus tataupa lepidotus (Swainson, 1837) - ocorre no nordeste do Brasil, nos estados do Maranhão, Ceará, Piauí, Pernambuco até o estado da Bahia.

• Crypturellus tataupa tataupa – förekommer från östra Bolivia till Paraguay, södra Brasilien och norra Argentina

Status

IUCN kategoriserar arten som livskraftig.^[1]

Namn

Fågelns svenska och vetenskapliga artnamn kommer av fågelns namn på Guaraní, Ihnambú tataupá. Namnet betyder "eldtinamo" efter sägnen att fågeln fått sin röda näbb från att ha ätit eld.^[4]

Crypturellus tataupa là một loài chim trong họ Tinamidae.^[3] Loài này thường được tìm thấy ở rừng khô trong các khu vực nhiệt đới và cận nhiệt đới đông nam Nam Phi.^[4] Loài này dài khoảng 25 cm (9,8 in). Phía trên màu nâu tối với mào nâu đậm và cổ xám nhạt. Hai bên đầu, cổ và ức xám tối hơn. Mỏ và chân mà đỏ tía.

Phân loài

Có bốn phân loài:

• C. t. tataupa Giống chỉ định, hiện diện ở đông Bolivia, nam Brasil, bắc Argentina, và Paraguay.^[4]
• C. t. inops hiện diện ở tây bắc Peru ở thung lũng Marañón,.^[4] và cũng ở cục nam Ecuador
• C. t. peruvianus hiện diện ở tây trung bộ Peru ở thung lũng Chanchamayo của vùng Junín.^[4]
• C. t. lepidotus hiện diện ở tây đông bắc Brasil; Bahia, Ceará, Piauí, Pernambuco, và Maranhão.^[4]
