Cotoneaser affinis var. bacillaris (Lindley) C. K. Schneider differs from the typical variety in having leaf blades oblong to obovate or oblong-lanceolate, abaxially slightly villous, glabrescent, and inflorescences less crowded, sparsely villous at first and glabrescent.

Shrubs deciduous, to 5 m tall. Branchlets dark reddish brown, terete. Petiole 4–5(–11) mm, densely yellow tomentose; stipules linear or lanceolate, tomentulose; leaf blade ovate or elliptic-ovate, or oblong to obovate or oblong-lanceolate, 2.5–5(–8) × 1.4–2(–4.5) cm, midvein raised abaxially and impressed adaxially, abaxially densely yellow tomentose, gradually glabrescent, adaxially glabrous or puberulous only along midvein, base broadly cuneate, apex obtuse or acute. Compound corymbs (2.5–)3–4 cm in diam., (3–)15–30-flowered or more; rachis and pedicels densely yellow tomentose; bracts linear-lanceolate, tomentose. Pedicel 2–3(–5) mm. Flowers ca. 1 cm in diam. Hypanthium campanulate, abaxially tomentose. Sepals broadly triangular, apex acute. Petals spreading, white, suborbicular or ovate, (2.5–)3–4 mm, adaxially pubescent near base, base shortly clawed, apex obtuse. Stamens 20, shorter than sepals. Ovary densely tomentose apically; styles 2, free, not exceeding stamens. Fruit purplish brown or dark brown to reddish black or black, ovoid to globose, 6–8(–10) mm in diam.; pyrenes 2. Fl. Cotoneaster affinis là loài thực vật có hoa trong họ Hoa hồng. Loài này được Lindl. mô tả khoa học đầu tiên năm 1821.

藏边栒子（学名：Cotoneaster affinis）为蔷薇科栒子属的植物。分布在不丹、印度、尼泊尔以及中国的西藏、四川等地，生长于海拔3,000米至3,800米的地区，见于冷杉林下或河谷灌丛中，目前尚未由人工引种栽培。
