Hainan Elaeocarpus has a clearly defined form. The fringe-like white flowers are numerous and sweetly scented. There are five petals which are lobed at the apex and 5 lanceolate calyxes, infloresience axiliary and raceme. Look up under the tree you will see all those blossoms drooping down which is quite a gorgeous sight. This photo was taken in the Kowloon Park here in Hong Kong.
