The characteristic black-spotted yellow belly of a Southern Ringneck snake - my cats' latest "living toy" they presented me with. The snake luckily survived and I released it in the backyard after taking a few pictures. It's a bit fuzzy-looking because the picture was taken through a glass jar.
The cats were at it again - chasing snakes from their basement enclosure all the way upstairs into the living room this time. Yikes! The little fella was quite lucky to survive being the center of feline attention until I could grab a jar and rescue it from curious kitty paws.
