Stephanocircidae er en gruppe (familie) som hører til ordenen lopper (Siphonaptera). Som andre lopper er de parasitter som lever i bolene eller reirene til varmblodige dyr. Lopper regnes til de vingede insektene til tross for at alle artene er helt vingeløse.
Disse loppene har helt eller delvis reduserte øyne.
De aller fleste av disse loppene lever i bolene til gnagere og pungdyr (pungrotter i Amerika), men noen få arter av Craneopsyllinae ser også ut til å være knyttet til insektetere.
Familien finnes nesten bare på den sørlige halvkulen, i Australia og Sør- og Mellom-Amerika.

Паразитирование на сумчатых, не имеющих гнёзд, привело к морфологическим адаптациям, напоминающим блох семейства Ischnopsyllidae, которые живут на рукокрылых млекопитающих[2].
