    Taeniatherum caput-medusae is a rather rare annual grass, found in higher areas of Israel. Its long awnes are typical.

    I posted same pics of this unique annual grass in the past, since it is so beautiful. This time got it just before the spike disintegrates and the grains are dispersed.
