Insecten Colletes andrewsi is een vliesvleugelig insect uit de familie Colletidae. De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1906 door Cockerell.[1]

Colletes andrewsi[1][2] är en solitär biart som beskrevs av Cockerell 1906. Den ingår i släktet sidenbin och familjen korttungebin.[3][4] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[3]
Utseende
Ett svart bi med tämligen gles, grå päls. Bakkroppen har smala, ljusa hårband som är avbrutna i mitten.[5] Honan har en kroppslängd på 12 till 14 mm, hanen omkring 14 mm.[6]
Ekologi
Arten flyger mellan mitten av maj till mitten av juli, och är specialiserad på alunrotssläktet (speciellt Heuchera richardsonii) i familjen stenbräckeväxter.[7]
Utbredning
Utbredningsområdet omfattar Manitoba i Kanada[7] samt norra, centrala USA[8] från Colorado till South Dakota och Nebraska. Den har även påträffats i Wisconsin.[7]
