Systomus sewelli is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Systomus. It is found in India and Myanmar. Fishbase give the species name as Puntius morehensis^[1] but the Catalog of Fishes lists this name as a synonym of Systomus sewelli,^[2]

Puntius morehensis is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de eigenlijke karpers (Cyprinidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1998 door Arunkumar & Tombi Singh.
