Microglanis pataxo és una espècie de peix de la família dels pseudopimelòdids i de l'ordre dels siluriformes.

És un peix d'aigua dolça i de clima tropical.[5]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba a Sud-amèrica: conques dels rius Peruípe, Jucuruçu i Cahy (nord-est del Brasil).[5]
