Prunus cerasoides D. Don

Deciduous tree. Flowers pink, flowering in autumn. When not in flower, it is easily recognized by its glossy, ringed bark (image1) and the long, dentate stipules (image 2).

Native to Central Asia. Originally introduced as a garden ornamental for its attractive blossom but now an aggressive invader in many parts of southern Africa.
