Fungus attack

Plancia ëd Entomophthora muscae (Cohn) Fresen. 1856

Descrission:

It is sad to see a fly attacked by fungus. After infection, it can take upto 5-7days for the fly to die. "When it is critically ill, it tends to crawl to a high point, straighten its hind legs and open its wings, a behaviour that ensures that the fungal spores are dispersed as widely as possible."WikipediaTony has some excellent information about this fungus and the way it attacks flies.
