Bigmouth Bowfin

Plancia ëd Amiidae

Descrission:

I'm not certain, but I'm thinking this behemoth is just checking to make sure I won't fit in it's mouth after all.Spotted this bruiser around the ring of one of the many smaller springs that sprout up from the river bed. Possibly the largest I've ever encountered in the water.Unlike most fish, if you are careful, they'll swim right up and make a close pass or two before getting back to doing Bowfin stuff.
