Description: Prairie falcons are common spring and fall migrants, with a few remaining to winter on Seedskadee NWR. Horned larks are one of their prefered prey, and prairie falcons can be spotted at times stooping (diving) through a flock of horned larks, trying to snatch one from the air. Tom Koerner/USFWS.
