Description: English: Thalli of the red seaweed Catenella caespitosa, a species typically found in the upper intertidal zone of estuarine and coastal ecosystems at temperate latitudes. This picture shows oxygen bubbles formed around the thalli due to the photosynthetic process after a period of light exposure.
