Burhinus grallarius
Descrission:
Burhinus grallarius
Burhinus grallarius, Palm Cove, Queensland, Australia, September 2009.
This bird appears to have been nesting nearby, quite aggressive towards people walking through the forest area and 3 birds actively chased us away. These birds were also quite active at night and were often seen walking around the residential areas and down near the beach late in the evening after dark.
