The type species is C. spinidentis Weiser, Wegensteiner and Zizka, 1995 in tissues µmainly fat body and malphigian tubules) of larvae and adults of fir bark beetle, Pityokteines spinidens (Coleoptera, Scolytidae). Polaroplast bipartite, anterior part of thinner, flat lamellar sacs, posterior part of shorter, broader lamellar sacs Polar tube isofilar with 5 -7 coils in a single rank. The anchoring disc of the filament is globular, situated subapically and bulging into an indentation of the spore wall.
