Very common in early morning found easily under debris and later, basking on stones and sand hummocks. Adults with original tails seldom found, over half caught had re-grown tails. Largest examined: SVL 120 mm (4 in.), TL 290 mm (11 in.).
Caught in forsaken irrigation canal. Animals fall into the dry canal and are unable to escape due to steep cement sides, making even agile species easy to chase down.
