Type locality: village of Ngatana ca. one mile northwest from new village of Wema, in the lower Tana River, Coast Region, Kenya (02°30S, 40°15E, elevation 50 m).

The long-tailed threadsnake (Myriopholis longicauda) is a species of snake in the family Leptotyphlopidae.[2][3] It is endemic to Africa.

Geographic range

It is found in eastern Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, southern Somalia, northeastern South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.[4][5]
