Uredinia hypophyllous, oblong, 0.2-0.5 mm. long, long covered by the epidermis, finally pulverulent, cinnamon-brown; urediniospores obovoid or ovoid, 18-26 by 23-35 ^u; wall 1.5-2.5 M thick, thicker at apex, 3-9 m, rather sparsely echinulate with conical papillae^ the pores 3, approximately equatorial, obscure.
