Pycnia hypophyllous, numerous, scattered among the aecia, small, punctiform, noticeable, honey-yellow becoming darker, globoid, 55-130 ju wide by 55-1 15 /a in depth; ostiolar filaments agglutinated to form a column 50-65 fx in diameter and 65-70 fx high.
Aecia mainiy hypophyllous, from a diffused mycelium, often completely covering the under sin-face of the leaf, cupulate, low, 0.1-0.3 mm. in diameter; peridium pale-yellow, the margin recurved, lacerate; peridial cells oblong, rather small, 15-16 by 19-23 fx, somewhat overlapping, the outer wall 3-5 fx, smooth, the inner wall thinner, 1-2 fx, finely and closely verrucose; aeciospores angularly globoid, 16-23 by 21-26 /x; wall pale-yellow or colorless, 1-1.5 ju thick, finely and inconspicuously verrucose, appearing almost smooth when wet.
