Piptocarpha rotundifolia is a species of tree in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Cerrado, GoiáS, Bahia, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Maranhao, The Neotropics, RondôNia, Mato Grosso, and Distrito Federal. They have achenes. Individuals can grow to 3.5 m.
