Tolpis capensis is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Southern Africa. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Sphegocephala hieracii, Halictus opulentus, Lipotriches minuta, and Lasioglossum emirnense. Individuals can grow to 0.8 m.
