They are native to The Neotropics, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Amazônia, and Roraima. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Delta Flower Scarab, Common Eastern Bumblebee, Climacia areolaris, and Mitoura sweadneri. Individuals can grow to 30 feet.
