I found this broad-headed bug, Alydus pilosulus, crawling up the wall of my house on a warm fall afternoon. Length is 11 mm. I've not seen this species before. Of members of this family, usually I find the (abundant) Alydus eurinus or Megalotomus quinquespinosus.
