Petrolisthes armatus.—Hildebrand, 1939:23 [not Petrolisthes armatus (Gibbes, 1850)].

MATERIAL EXAMINED.—Miraflores Locks, Panama Canal; 5 , ovigerous; 17 Jan 1972 (M. L. Jones).

MEASUREMENTS.—4.9 × 4.8 to 5.5 × 5.4 mm.

DISTRIBUTION.—Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, and Guayaquil, Ecuador; intertidal zone.

MATERIAL EXAMINED.—PANAMA, Panama City, Punta Paitilla (sta 129-1A), 1 ovigerous; Canal Zone, Miraflores Locks (sta 1525), 11, 22 (9 ovigerous); Miraflores spillway (sta 130-2B), 4, 19 (16 ovigerous); Pedro Miguel Locks (sta 1324), 1.

MEASUREMENTS.—2.6 × 2.6 to 7.2 × 8.3 mm; smallest ovigerous 3.8 × 3.8 mm.

DISTRIBUTION.—Mexico (unspecified locality), El Salvador, Panama, and Ecuador; littoral to about 6 m.
