Pteris altissima (Tall Brake) is a species of perennial herb in the family Pteridaceae. They are native to Amazônia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pernambuco, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, GoiáS, Santa Catarina, Rio De Janeiro, SãO Paulo, Acre (Brazil), Roraima, Mata Atlântica, and Puerto Rico. They have pinnate leaves. They have alternation of generations.
