Cassytha filiformis (Devil's Gut) is a species of shrub in the family Lauraceae. They are climbers. They are native to Mata Atlântica, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Hawaii, Distrito Federal, Pará, GoiáS, Mato Grosso Do Sul, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Paraná, Ceará, Amazônia, RondôNia, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Piauí, Alagoas, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso, Caatinga, Tocantins, Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, Cerrado, U.S. Virgin Islands, Maranhao, and Roraima. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 2 m.
