Ardisia crenata (Hen's Eyes) is a species of shrub in the family Primulaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, North Korea, Vietnam, The Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, China, and Myanmar. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Strymon ziba. Individuals can grow to 1.4 m.
