Heliopsis helianthoides (Smooth Oxeye) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and South America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Transverse Flower Fly, Red-belted Bumble Bee, Hunt Bumble Bee, and Least Skipper. Individuals can grow to 1.3 m.
