Persicaria hydropiperoides (Swamp Smartweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They are native to Espirito Santo, Puerto Rico, Piauí, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Eastern North America, Tocantins, Pará, Santa Catarina, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pantanal, Bahia, Pernambuco, Canada, Maranhao, RondôNia, Sergipe, North America, South America, GoiáS, Mata Atlântica, Roraima, Rio Grande Do Sul, Amapá, Cerrado, Ceará, Distrito Federal, Caatinga, and The Contiguous United States. They have green flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Hylaeus affinis, American Bumblebee, Lemon Cuckoo Bumblebee, and Least Skipper.
