Rhododendron occidentale (Western Azalea) is a species of shrub in the family Ericaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Vosnesensky Bumble Bee, Buff-tailed bumblebee, Pale Swallowtail, and Western Tiger Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 10 feet.
