Sisyrinchium platense is a species of perennial herb in the family Iridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Pampa, The Americas, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraná, Cerrado, Santa Catarina, and GoiáS. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit.
