Eriogonum effusum (Spreading Buckwheat) is a species of shrub in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Plebejus melissa, Edwards' Fritillary, Satyrium saepium, and Euphilotes rita coloradensis.
