Ptelea trifoliata (Common Hoptree) is a species of tree in the family Rutaceae. They are listed as of special concern by COSEWIC. They are native to Western North America, Eastern North America, North America, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have yellow flowers and samaras. Flowers are visited by Myolepta nigra, Oxybelus inornatus, Bibio pallipes, and Dalmannia nigriceps. Individuals can grow to 25 feet.
