They are native to Minas Gerais, Piauí, Maranhao, Brazil, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pantanal, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso, Espirito Santo, Rio De Janeiro, Amazônia, GoiáS, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, ParaíBa, Alagoas, Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Roraima, Paraná, Tocantins, Pernambuco, Bahia, Pará, RondôNia, and Caatinga. They have capsule fruit.
