Climbing shrub with long, slender, sometimes pendulous, branches. Leaves alternate. Inflorescence a terminal raceme. Flowers bisexual, small, (4-)5-merous, subtended by 1 bract and 2 small bracteoles. Stamens 5. Stigma capitate. Fruit a drupe crowned with the persistent perianth lobes.
