A yellow species, or variety, in the Vorticella convallaria complex. Sessile peritrich ciliate, 60-120 micrometres. Shape a wide funnel or bell, very changeable. Peristome broad, width often exceeding the length of the body. Colour yellow, or yellow-green (probably a result of diet). Pedicle slender, 4-5 times as long as the body. Macronucleus horseshoe-shaped, short. Freshwater, on aquatic plants.
