Shrub 1-2 m. high; branches puberulous; leaves oval or suborbicular-oval to broadly obovate, 3.5-6 cm. long, 1.8-3.3 cm. wide, abruptly short-pointed with obtuse or emarginulate apex, cuneate at base, very sparsely strigillose or glabrous above, sparsely strigillose beneath; petioles 2 mm. long; raceme-axis 4-5 mm. long, the peduncle 1 mm. long or less; pedicels strigillose, 1-1.5 mm. long; flowers greenish; upper sepal oval, rounded, 1.3 mm. long; lower sepals deltoid-ovate, 1 mm. long; wings deltoid-ovate, 1.7 mm. long; upper petals pubescent within, 3 mm. long; keel pubescent laterally, 3.3-4 mm. long; capsule subquadrate, lobed for one-third to one-fifth its length with rounded lobes, narrowly margined, ciliolate, 7 mm. long, 8.5 mm. wide, on a stipe 1.5-2 mm. long; seed 6 mm. long; aril lobulate, 1.8 mm long.
