Description

Suffrutex subshrub with annual stems up to 1 m, growing from a strong perennial rootstock. Leaves with 2-4 pairs of pinnae; leaflets 7-13 pairs per pinna, 2-3.5 cm long, narrowly oblong to ovate oblong, very asymmetrical at the base, more or less pubescent, particularly on the midrib below. Flowers in axillary racemes, 6-12 cm long, pale cream. Pods up to 20 × 6 cm often distinctly curved.
