Heuchera nuttallii Rydb. sp. nov
Heuchera micranlha ^ T. & G. Fl. N. Am. 1 : 579. 1840.
Flowering branches 3-5 dm. high, glabrous or with a few scattered hairs, few-leaved or scapiform ; petioles of basal leaves 5-12 cm. long, glabrous or sparingly hirsute ; blades roundedcordate, about as long as broad, 3-7 cm. long, perfectly glabrous, except the ciliate-tipped teeth ; inflorescence glandular-puberulent ; bracts linear, the lower sometimes toothed ; hypanthium sparingly pubescent, together with the ovate obtuse sepals 2.5-3 mm. long ; petals linear-oblanceolate.
Type collected among rocks on the Oregon, near the mouth of the Willamette, by Thomas
Nuttall.
Distribution : Among rocks and in canons, Washington and Oregon.
