They are native to Santa Catarina, SãO Paulo, Hawaii, Amazônia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Rio De Janeiro, Paraná, Espirito Santo, and Mata Atlântica. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.16 m. They have alternation of generations.
