Guarea guidonia (American Muskwood) is a species of tree in the family Meliaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Mata Atlântica, Paraíba, Caatinga, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso do Sul, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Bahia, Sergipe, Pará, Tocantins, Goiás, Roraima, Amazônia, Paraná, Cerrado, Rondônia, Acre (Brazil), Ceará, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, Distrito Federal, São Paulo, Maranhao, Piauí, Pernambuco, Amapá, and Alagoas. American Muskwood has compound, broad leaves and white flowers. It is a photoautotroph. Reproduction is dioecious.
