Pavonia cancellata is a species of perennial herb in the family Malvaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Minas Gerais, Mata Atlântica, Pará, Pernambuco, São Paulo, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Cerrado, Amazônia, Piauí, Distrito Federal, Ceará, Caatinga, Maranhao, Rio de Janeiro, Alagoas, Goiás, Sergipe, Paraíba, Mato Grosso, Amazônia, and Mato Grosso do Sul. Pavonia cancellata has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
