Melochia nodiflora (Bretonica Prieta) is a species of shrub in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Rio De Janeiro, Puerto Rico, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, The Contiguous United States, and Caatinga. Flowers are visited by Buckeyes and White Peacock.
