It is native to United States, western north america, Alaska, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, Canada, and the contiguous United States. Common Nettle has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Lorquin's Admiral. Common Nettle is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.96 m.
