Salix nigra (Black Willow) is a species of tree in the family Salicaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, North America, and United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Brachicoma, Cryptocheilus, Sphecodes, and Exoprosopa decora. Individuals can grow to 100 feet.
