They are native to Paraná, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Acre (Brazil), Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, Distrito Federal, Tocantins, Pará, GoiáS, The Neotropics, RondôNia, Cerrado, Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Mata Atlântica. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Individuals can grow to 5 m.
