Test: clear structureless, flask-shaped, with apertural collar, pseudostome bent at _45 degree angle to long axis; base of test drawn out as spine. Size: 38 to 50 µm long. Filopodia. Ecology: marine, sandy beaches, algivore. Type species: Chardezia caudata Golemansky, 1970.
