Epinephelus malabaricus (Malabar Grouper) is a species of bony fishes in the family sea basses. It is listed as near threatened by IUCN. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Malabar Grouper is a solitary planktotroph. Individuals can grow to 32658 g. Malabar Grouper has sexual reproduction; it is a protogynous hermaphrodite. Reproduction is iteroparous and oviparous.
