Notoscopelus elongatus is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family lanternfishes. They are native to Mediterranean Sea. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals can grow to 14.2 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is iteroparous and oviparous.
